1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using SquareFace, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Description of Service

SquareFace provides tools that transform uploaded photos into square cartoon avatars and animated profile pictures. Features may include AI avatar generation, quick animation effects, AI video animation, and downloads in formats such as PNG, GIF, MP4, or WebM.

3. Accounts

  • Google sign-in: Some features require signing in with Google so we can associate credits, purchases, and subscription status with your account.
  • Account security: You are responsible for the security of your account and for activity performed through it.
  • Age requirement: You must be at least 13 years old to use SquareFace.

4. User Content and Rights

  • Your uploads: You retain rights to photos you upload. You must have the necessary rights and permissions to upload and process any image you submit.
  • Generated outputs: Subject to these Terms, you may use generated avatars and animations for lawful personal or commercial purposes.
  • No unlawful content: Do not upload images or request outputs that are illegal, infringe others’ rights, impersonate people deceptively, or violate platform rules.

5. Credits and Usage

  • AI Avatar Generation: Costs 1 credit per generation unless otherwise shown in the product.
  • Quick Effects: Costs 1 credit to unlock the available quick animation effects for the selected image with unlimited exports during that unlocked session.
  • AI Avatar Animation: Costs 3 credits per AI video animation unless otherwise shown.
  • Credit balance: Credit balances are shown in your account and may update after payment confirmation or successful consumption.
  • Failed generations: If a paid generation fails because of a service-side error, contact support so the credit can be reviewed and restored when appropriate. Credits are not restored for unsupported files, user cancellation, policy violations, or network issues outside our control.

6. Payments, Expiration, and Subscriptions

  • Payment processor: Payments are processed through PayPal. We do not store full card numbers.
  • Starter and Pro Pack credits: One-time credit packs currently do not expire unless a specific promotion or checkout page says otherwise.
  • Monthly subscription credits: Monthly credits reset each billing cycle and do not roll over unless explicitly stated.
  • Automatic renewal: Monthly subscriptions renew automatically through PayPal until cancelled.
  • Cancellation: You may cancel a subscription from the billing page when logged in or from your PayPal account. Cancellation stops future renewals; current-period access and remaining monthly credits remain available until the end of the billing period unless PayPal or law requires otherwise.
  • Pricing changes: We may change pricing or plan details with reasonable notice. Existing subscriptions follow the terms shown by PayPal and the product at the time of purchase until changed or cancelled.

7. Refunds

  • General rule: Consumed credits are generally non-refundable because generation uses compute resources immediately.
  • Unused purchases: For accidental duplicate purchases or unused one-time credit packs, contact support within 7 days and we will review the request.
  • Service failures: If a generation fails because of our service error, we may restore the credit instead of issuing a cash refund.
  • PayPal disputes: Refunds, chargebacks, and disputes may also be handled through PayPal according to PayPal’s rules.

8. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle uploaded photos, generated media, account data, payment records, analytics, and third-party processing. By using SquareFace, you also agree to the Privacy Policy.

9. Service Availability

SquareFace depends on hosting, payment, authentication, and AI infrastructure providers. The service may be interrupted, delayed, changed, or discontinued. We are not responsible for losses caused by temporary unavailability or third-party service failures.

10. Limitation of Liability

SquareFace is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service.
